About Me
A grounded, mind-body approach to therapy for adults, couples, and families in Hillsborough, NJ, and surrounding communities. Virtual availability statewide.
Hi, I’m Kimberly Pawlowski, a licensed clinical social worker and registered yoga teacher. I work with adults, couples, and families who are feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them.
Many of the people I work with are high-functioning and capable on the outside, but internally feel anxious, burned out, disconnected, or unsure of their next steps. My goal is to create a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin to reconnect with yourself in a deeper, more meaningful way.
My Approach
I believe that authentic, lasting change happens when we address both the mind and the body. Thoughts, emotions, and nervous system responses are all interconnected, and therapy can help bring awareness and balance to each of these areas.
My work is trauma-informed, mindfulness-based, and relational. I draw from a range of approaches, including:
Psychodynamic therapy
Person-Centered therapy
Strengths-based and solution-focused approaches
Emotionally focused therapy
DBT and CBT coping skills
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Somatic and mindfulness-based practices
Rather than using a one-size-fits-all method, I tailor therapy to your unique needs, pace, and goals.
What It’s Like to Work With Me
Clients often describe our work as calm, supportive, and practical. Sessions are a space where you can speak openly, without judgment or pressure, and begin to understand what’s happening beneath the surface.
Together, we may explore:
The patterns that keep showing up in your life
The emotions and experiences you’ve had to carry
Practical tools to help you feel more steady and regulated
The parts of you that are seeking change or healing
My role is not to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you as you gain clarity, confidence, and a stronger connection to yourself.
